Arkansas High Country Race

I have spent the last week chasing gravel cyclists around the state of Arkansas as they attempted to complete the second annual High Country Race. Self supported, racers begin and end in Fayetteville, traveling more than 1000 miles with more than 80,000 ft of climbing. Having driven huge portions, I can say that this is one insane and crazy race. Congrats to Ted King for his sub 5 day winning time; Ashley Carelock for setting the women’s FKT along with second place, and to Seth Wood for setting an incredible FKT for Single Speed (yes, just one sing gear.)

I have a good bit of race coverage up on my IG page, and as soon as I am back in civilization will set up a stories page with more images from the race and the amazing terrain. One thing is for sure, I will be back to shoot this even again in 2021 and I will be running at least one, if not 2 photo workshops in the High Country next fall.
